Malda: Four people were killed when their car collided directly with a dumper in the district of Malda Bengal Barat on Sunday, police said.
The incident occurred near the Ahora Bridge at the National Highway 34 in the Gajole Police Station area around 12pm, they said.
Vehicles, which have a government of West Bengal Stickers on it, are on their way from Raiganj with four people, including the driver, when the incident happened, police said.
Three of them, including an eight-year-old boy, died in place.
A woman, who was injured critically, died on her way to the Gajole rural hospital, police said.
The identity of the passengers is being confirmed, the supervisor of Police Alok Rajoria said.
