4 Delta Plus cases found in Chanda, Gondia & Akola

Written by news2in

Nagpur: The sequencing of the samples of Covid-19 patients has revealed 20 Delta plus patient variants in Maharashtra on Wednesday.
From them, 2 came from the Gondia and each of the Akola and Chandrapur.
This marks the entry of Delta Plus variants in Vidarbha.
Previously, the Delta variant, from Amravati, was common in the region.
Experts told Tii, there was enough evidence that the Delta Plus variant was not as dangerous with the original Delta variant, which was dominant in the second wave in Vidarbha.
“It has been proven even in Maharashtra that Delta plus the patient’s variant has a minor infection rate to medium and is not serious.
More variants like that will continue to appear,” said the infectious disease specialist Dr.
Nitin Shinde.
The Ministry of Health Public has appealed to the public to adopt the appropriate behavior of covid without fear when the virus continues to change its genetic makeup and is part of the viral life cycle.
Fast vaccination is also effective in controlling further mutations in viruses.
If the virus does not get the opportunity to multiply, the possibility of a new mutation will also decrease, he said.
Another pause factor for Vidarbha is that the sample tested positive for Delta-Plus variants detected at least 2 weeks ago and sent for testing only.
The fact that no surge or death witnessed over the past two weeks shows that Delta-Plus does not cause a serious threat to the area.
Meanwhile, the pause of Covid-19 continued in the region even on Wednesday with only 31 of the 15,560 positive testing samples in 24 hours.
The overall level of positivity (TPR) reached a record low of 0.19%.
Bhandara and Gondia reported zero new cases, while the highest day – six – reported from Buldhana.
On the other hand, 52 patients recovered.
Vidarbha recovery rate is much above 98%.
There were no Covid deaths reported for the second day in a row, and the fifth time in August 11.
This shows that deaths from Covid-19 have decreased significantly.
Only 449 patients underwent treatment now throughout the region.
Bhandara: The district witnessed another ‘zero day’ because there were no new cases detected from 616 tests carried out in the last 24 hours.
Bhandara does not have a patient in treatment for one more day.

After two patients were sent back, the total recovery has increased to 48,049, leaving 8 in care.
No deaths reported on the day and the Covid Toll remained at 1,325.
Chandrapur: There were no victims of Covid, for the second day in a row, on Wednesday keeping the toll road unchanged at 1.537.
With two new detection of three recovery, now 72 patients are under treatment.
Covid Caseload grew to 88,550, while the total recovery became 86,941.
Amravati: Four new cases of seven recovery means that the district is quite ‘covid’ on Wednesday.
Kaseload has now reached 96,589 and recovered to 94,598.
Without Covid’s death that day, the toll remained at 1.562.
This left 69 in care.

No covid victims reported in the last 24 hours.
Gadchiroli: Five new cases and recovery requires a total burden at Gadchiroli up to 30,647 and recovery to 29,864.
The overall Covid toll road is 745 and 38 while in treatment.
Washim: Two new cases and 5 recovery were reported that day.
With 41,030 patients from 41,680 total restored cases to date, Washim has 12 patients in treatment now.
