Coimbatore: Four families died after the car where they traveled running on the bridge wall near the government’s warehouse on Jalan Udumalpet-Tirupur on Sunday night.
Police said Dr.
Kavya, 28, Poobalan’s wife, from Thearthamalai in Dharmapuri District, worked as a doctor at a government hospital in Hosur in Krishnagiri Regency.
Kaviya, his father P Sakthel, 62, Mother S Vijayarani, 50, Grandpa R Ponvel, 80, and Pappu grandmother, 70, went to Udumalpet in the car to attend the wedding of their relatives.
Kavya drives a car.
When the car reached near the government’s warehouse on Jalan Udumalpet-Tirupur while returning from marriage, Kavya lost control of the car and the vehicle ran to the bridge wall.
In the impact, Kavya died in place.
Sakthivel, Ponvel and Pappu died without responding to treatment on Sunday night at the Udumalpet Government Hospital.
Vijayarani’s condition was said to be stable at the hospital.
The Udumalpet police registered a case.
