Greater Noida: Four masked men allegedly entered a house in Dankaur, holding the family who lived there hostage at the wall point, and escaped with cash and jewelry of almost Rs 5 lakh on Monday.
One of the robbers was arrested when trying to escape, while two other people were arrested because they were questioned.
The men have been identified as Vikas, his brother Chanchal and Cousin Sonu from Moonjkheda Village Danukur.
The police tried to track the fourth person, which had not been identified.

He told the police that three robbers were allegedly entered the house by climbing the terrace.
They then entered the room where Sandeep fell asleep around 1:30 a.m.
on Monday, while the others were looking in front of the house.
The trio was allegedly armed with a stating-made gun and sand that was mastered and struggled.
Hearing his crying, his brother Prateek and their parents rushed to his room, after that families were held hostage in Gunpoint.
The robbers demanded Rs 20,000 to release them and Prateek down to bring the money.
Downstairs, Prateek made a panic call to his cousin Neeraj in secret, who also lived in the village.
He asked Neeraj not to call him back and come to his house with several villagers to help families.
“After I gave them the money, two of them dragged me down in Gunpoint and asked me to show where we took care of our jewelry.
They published me with a stick and also stabbed me in hand with a knife,” said Prateek to Ti.
The duo allegedly began to search the room where the jewelry was stored and asked Pratek to bring them water.
“I slipped out of the room to get water and hurriedly locked the room.
One of them shot me, but the bullet missed,” he said.
Meanwhile, relatives and neighbors began to gather in front of the house.
Prateek managed to open the main gate and they entered the house.
After hearing the local residents arrived, the robbers panicked and jumped from the porch of the house.
One of them also fired air to scare the villagers.
While three of them managed to escape with almost Rs 1.3 lakh in cash and gold and silver jewelry amounting to Rs 4 Lakh, the fourth was arrested by villagers.
He was later identified as Sonu.
Vikas and Chanchal were detained later.
“The role of Vikas and Chanchal in crime is being investigated.
The bicycles allegedly used by Vikas to commit a crime have been restored,” said DCP (Greater Noida) Visal Pandey.
A pine has been submitted down at 394 (causing injuries to carry out robbery) and 411 (receiving stolen property) from IPC.
