NEW DELHI: Three individuals were detained for allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint near the Delhi Cantonment place here while he had been headed for the airport, authorities said Friday.
They have been recognized as Amrik, Gurnam Singh, Gurmukh Singh and also Manveer Singh, the authorities said.
Based on complainant Gaurav Dhiman (29), that the accused robbed him of his luggage and cell phone on the night of April 22 and pitched Gurgaon when he had been visiting the airport to catch a flight to Dubai, he stated.
Narrating the incident, the authorities said shortly after Dhiman stopped a vehicle organized by his own travel agent before a gas pump NH-8, four individuals approached the car, opened its own doors and also hurled chili powder in the occupants, even while threatening them with a weapon.
Since the folks in the car hurried outside and ran in the direction of the gas pump, then the accused required Dhiman’s luggage and two cell telephones, and fled Gurgaon in a different vehicle, the authorities said.
There were clothing, food products, money, 15,000 Saudi Riyal plus a few records in the luggage, ” they said.
Authorities could identify one defendant as Amrik, that was subsequently retrieved from Khayala, ” a senior police officer stated.
Another three were detained according to data received , the authorities said.
A nation made pistol, two live cartridges, a vehicle, 9,000 Saudi Riyal along with a cell phone were recovered in his possession, the police included.
