4 held with 55 pistols in front of independence day in Delhi

New Delhi: in front of independence day, the police have arrested four men in three separate operations and recover 55 pistols along with 50 live cartridges from them, officials said on Friday.
The police said four were excluded from various parts of the capital.
Allegations have been identified as Rajveer Singh (33) and Dheeraj Kumar (26), both Hathras residents in Uttar Pradesh, Vinod (48), a resident of Firozabad above and Dharmender aka Dharmu (29), a resident of Bharthal in Delhi, they said.
Vinod serves life imprisonment in kidnapping cases since 2007 and is currently conditional from April this year because of Covid’s pandemic, police said.
“On August 7, the police received information that two-based weapons suppliers would supply firearms on the outer ring road near the Burari flyover.
A trap laid and Rajveer and Dheeraj was arrested,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar said Yadav.
In another operation on August 9, the police arrested Vinod from Jalan Najafgarh-Dhansa, police said.
Vinod was also involved in the kidnapping case registered at the Ashok Nagar police station.
In this case, he and his colleagues have kidnapped a man and demanded a ransom of Rs 20 Lakh from his family members.
Vinod is also a conditional, DCP said.
In the third operation on Friday, the police put a trap in Dwarka after getting a tip-off that Dharmender, a famous Kaushal gang member, will come there after he was arrested.
He was sought in two murder cases that nested in Delhi and Gurgaon in Haryana, said Yadav.
