GHAZIABAD: Four individuals have been detained here for sending death threats to some businessman so as to extort cash from him, authorities said on Monday. Following Harkesh Luthra, indigenous of Pratap Vihar colony, ignored death hazards double, the accused delivered him a life threatening letter together with a capsule at a marriage envelope on May 4, he explained, adding that after this episode Luthra registered an FIR. Observing a tip-off and specialized intelligence, authorities together with crime division officials detained the four detained of Sunday through checking of vehicles around Chandmari floor in Vijay Nagar region. They’ve been identified as Sunil, Vikas, Suraj and Yashpal, who’s an old familiarity with this company, Superintendent of Police (town ) Nipun Agarwal explained, including this one. 32 bore pistol along with a bullet was recovered from their possession. During interrogation, Yashpal advised the authorities a couple of days before, he’d made cash from Luthra throughout a property deal, then, he together with his partners proposed to extort cash from Luthra by sending death threats. The letter had been sent with a teenaged boy that we paid Rs 50. From the letter, that I wrote together with Sunil, we had Rs 25 lakh and jeopardized Luthra with dire consequences when our requirement wasn’t fulfilled, he told that the authorities.
