Daltonganj: Three of the four criminals kidnapped and extorted Rs 33,891 from the taxi driver through the payment application, Phoneeepe, was arrested at the POLICE Saturday.
The criminals arrested were identified as a neeraj friend, Firoz Ansari.
The raid will catch the fourth accused.
They allegedly took the number of taxi drivers, Chandan Kumar Chandravanshi, a Palamu resident.
This is the second incident within two weeks, police said, adding that in the first incident, Conmen delayed a population of Panki Village of Rs 25,000.
In the case of Saturday, the officer of the City Police Station responsible AK Mahatha said the four criminals squeezed the fourth money from Chandravanshi on December 30.
Police said criminals arrested the victim on December 30 last year, save their calls with them and extracted the money.
They released Chandravanshi on the same day, the police said, added them to recover the victim’s telephone after arresting the culprit.
According to the police, one of the perpetrators, Neeraj, transferred money from the telephone of the victim registered in Hyderabad .Maha said, “Neeraj has booked Chandravanshi’s car with the pretext of transporting patients from NHA Bazaar in NH 98 to Daltonganj medical college for Rs 1,800.
When the victim came, they kidnapped him and called his mother-in-law by his call to demand Rs 5 Lakh Ransoman for his release.
“When Chandravanshi’s mother-in-law refused to pay, four panicked and then exploited the Phoneeepe Chandravanshi application.
Then, they let it go with the car.
