Kededa: Four people were killed and the other two were seriously injured after their van was reversed in the Gujarat Kheda district, the police said on Wednesday.
The accident took place around the middle of the night in the city of Mahudha near the Nadiad City when six people would offer a prayer in a temple in the village of Malataj in Anand District, an official said from the Mahudha police station.
Van, who was on his way from Santtrampur in Mahisagar Regency, was upside down after the driver lost control of the wheel while trying to avoid a collision with the truck coming from the opposite direction, he said.
One occupant Van was killed in place, the other two surrendered during treatment in a civil hospital in Nadiad and other people died in Ahmedabad’s civil hospital where he was referred to for treatment, the official said.
Two other people received serious injuries in the accident and they underwent treatment at the hospital in Nadiad, he said.
