Jaipur: Four people were killed and three injuries when a truck that quickly hijacked guests at the wedding function at Bhilwara on Sunday night.
The Hanuman Nagar police station identified the victims as Neeraj, Kuldeep, Manoj and Rajendra.
The driver suffered a severe injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The police said the medical examination would make sure he was drunk.
The incident took place in Kuradiya Village in Jahazpur Tehsil where the function of the wedding from two Shankar’s daughters Lal Meena would start.
Around 6pm, a truck that came from Deoli began to float before marching on the road, destroying several people under his wheels.
Police said the wedding celebration was detained in a house next to the road.
The locals told the police that there was a surprising cry for help because people were pulled out from under the wheels.
Many injured are covered in blood, screaming in pain and horror even when the truck engine keeps rumbling.
Some guests ran out of the house to check the loot of the crying and hold the driver so he could not escape from the scene.
After all who was injured were taken to the hospital, the incident covered the entire area in the veil of silence where the celebration was in a full swing just a moment ago.
Local leaders and senior police officers came in droves to take stock situations.
Sho Mohammad Imran told Ti that the driver was also transported to the hospital along with other injuries.
The police said the bodies were transferred to the morgue.
“The injury was taken to the hospital immediately after the accident, but four of them gave up on their injury,” said an official.
