Muzaffarnagar: Four people died and 10 were injured in an explosion at the factory of making firecrackers illegally in the Shamli district on Friday night, police said.
The explosion took place at a pickle factory in the city of Cairana, and some people who were injured were in critical condition, they added.
The police said the rescue operation was underway, and 4 bodies had recovered so far.
Senior police and administrative officials are in place, they said.
