Preventive doses for health workers, frontline workers and elderly people with comorbidity will begin in all states on Monday.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey said about the total HCW and FLWS in Bihar, 4.50 lakh would be eligible to take the dose of their prevention on Monday.
In accordance with the data distributed by the Ministry of Health, Bihar has 5.24 lakh HCWs and 5.62 lakh flws.
However, in its guidelines for prevention doses, the center has mentioned that only beneficiaries will be given the third dose that has completed nine months or 39 weeks after their second dose.
Pandey said according to this guideline, 3.07 lakh HCWs and 1.43 lakh FLW will be eligible to take prevention doses on Monday.
Meanwhile, almost 17 of the beneficiaries of Lakh fell at the age of 15 to 18 years have been given their first dose from the Covid vaccine until Sunday.
About 83.46 Lakh beneficiaries fell in this age group.
The Ministry of Health has targeted to complete their vaccination in February.
