New Delhi: The Indian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will be completed in August, more than a month before the World Showcase event begins.
The UAE has announced it will start selling tickets for the Expo from July 18 and will last for 182 days starting from October 1 and concluded on March 31, 2022.
The exhibition should be postponed in October, but delayed due to Covid pandemics.
The Indian Pavilion will be a four-story structure and the façade will consist of 600 individual blocks capable of kinetic movements symbolizing ‘India while traveling’, said CP Kukreja Architecture Company said Associates (CPKA).
Expo is a global stage for architects from all over the world to represent various countries and show off their design capabilities.
“The Pavilion was conceptualized to celebrate and commemorate India’s independence for 75 years.
A merging technology and storytelling, the façade acts as an arena to host the country’s achievements,” said Dikshu Kukreja, managing the main CPA.
Spreading narratives, 75 different stories will familiarize visitors with Indian history, geography and literature.
At night, the façade will turn into a vibrant show with sound, light, and projections, almost as if the hosting festival.
The architectural company said the pavilion used the latest use of the latest innovative technology, traveled through an inclusive and interactive state landscape for visitors.
The visitors will witness physical exhibitions and deep digital content that will show off various sectors in the developing Indian economy.
Programs such as Space Mission, Create in India, Indian Digital, Indian Skills and Indian Start-Up Campaigns will be displayed as the main spotlight to display the country’s ability at the international level, the company said.
