PATNA: Unidentified thieves stole four valuable idols anticipated to be well worth a couple of crores out of Thakurbari Mutt situated at Gwaltoli at Kumhrar beneath Agamkuan police station place in Patna town on Saturday.
Agamkuan police station SHO Abhijeet Kumar stated that the episode came to light during the daytime when sailors seen the broken widow from this temple.
“The idols were all of Lord Rama, Sita, Laxman and Hanuman.

“The temple has been taken care of and preserved by natives.
No priest has been there in the temple for the past two decades,” he explained.
The SHO said that the episode is supposed to have occurred between midnight for wee hours.
“No more CCTV cameras exist in the area to search for suspects.
Dog team was not grounded,” he stated in response to questions.
The SHO said that investigations would be to learn when idol smugglers are connected with all the theft.
Yet, police sources stated that feeling is high the theft isn’t a regular one but is associated with coordinated idol smuggling gangs.
“Such idols that are of eight-metal amalgam are valuable and largely a few centuries old.
They bring crores of currency from the worldwide sector.
Collectors pay whatever cost is required for them.
Such idols are largely smuggled away from the nation throughout north east or south Nepal,” a senior police officer stated.
