Yadgir: The District Police have arrested four allegations of sexual harassment and attacked a Dalit woman in Shahapur Taluk in Yadgir District, on Monday.
The incident, which occurred about a year back, was revealed after the woman’s video was stripped and attacked into a viral on social media.
Shahapur police, who recognize violations, have registered the case below 354 (b), 366, 376 (d), 504, 506, 34 of IPC and part 3 (1), 3 (2) (2) (v) Law Invite the SC / SC (AtroCities and Prevention).
SP C B Vedamurthy said the police had identified victims and contacted him.
Based on the information provided by him, he was harassed and attacked about a year back, however, the police were investigating to strengthen the date and time of the incident.
Vedamurthy said the woman was dragged from the bus stop and was taken to the fields on the Shahapur-Yadgir state highway.
In the field, the defendant was stripped and struggled to use sugar cane sticks and recorded the incident.
The police have arrested four accused, he told.
