Khan, a pediatrician at the Medical College BRD Hospital in Gorakhpur, was suspended, along with seven others, on August 22, 2017 after the death of 63 children.
He was also imprisoned for nine months on charges of negligence and corruption.
After his suspension, Dr.

As of July 31, 2019, the government suspended Khan again for allegedly treating patients in a hospital in Bahraich.
