Secunderabad: Taking advantage of pandemic-induced locking, soil sharks have penetrated the value of the land ’40 percent, ‘given to the Cantonese Council Secunderabad by developers and housing communities.
Residents demand SCB officials to develop parks in such fields, similar to those in the GHMC area, to prevent encroachment.
Pantonment currently has around 100 hectares of land ’40 percent, is estimated to cost around RS 600 Crore on the market today.
However, a SCB engineering wing official said that the lack of funds had arrested them from building a compound wall along the area and installing CCTV cameras.
“But we have done inspections about unauthorized construction on the land with the help of whistles, to thwart shark land efforts,” officials told toi.
According to the current estimate, around 60 percent of the land has been interrupted.
Of the remaining 40 percent, 20 percent have been used by SCB to build parks and other facilities while 20 percent are still empty.
About four years ago, SCB had passed the resolution to build space and community fitness centers, developed lawn on land ’40 percent ‘but building it in just one or two soil fields.
The population now urges the board to overcome the maintenance of the area to the GHMC or regulate horticultural wings for the same thing, similar to those in the GHMC.
