Chandigarh: Secondary Education Director Haryana received a virtual rap on books from the State Human Rights Commission for allegedly not responding to it about cases where 40 girls have reported sexual harassment at the state-run societies in the district.
The Commission observed that: “Director sits on this issue and does not obey the commands being passed by this commission from time to time.
It is unfortunate that the department has officers who are not sensitive to sexual harassment by teachers in government schools and no matter what reports Even.
“The Commission calculates its poor experience with the Ministry of Education in a similar case.
Before passing a detrimental sequence against the directory to oppose and start the disciplinary process of it, the commission gave it and the head of the additional school (ACS) the last 15 days chance to submit a report.
A copy of the order was sent to Secretary of the Head Haryana, while the next hearing on August 17.
Chairman of Komisson Justice S K K Mittal and members of the Deep Bhatia issued this order.
On August 24, 2020, the Commission had told the director to submit a report on December 14, 2020.
Reminders were also sent but no reports received.
A message was delivered to the director’s office and the additional sect of Haryana for the next school education but, once again, there was no answer coming.
