Patna: A 40-year-old man was shot dead by a group of armed attackers in Jaidi Village under the Dhanarua Police Station area in the rural Patna on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Dharmaveer Paswan, a farmer.
The incident took place at 4pm when Paswan returned home from the local market.
The attackers hit 20 meters from his house and fired a shot, which caused his death.
But the killers escaped not hurt.
Sho of Dhanarua police station, Raju Kumar, said the deceased had hostility with co-resident, Nitish Kumar.
“The killers fled after the incident,” he added.
Criminal was arrested: STF on Saturday arrested a famous criminal, Sanjiv Singh, from Jatui Regency and restored a 7.65 bore gun and several cartridges of life from ownership.
Police said the cash prize of Rs 50,000 was announced by the government for the arrest of Sanjiv, a resident of Begusarai District.

The source said the cash was restored during the drive inspection vehicle launched in the district after the upcoming Panica election in the state.
