Patiala: About 30 school children in Punjab have been tested positively Covid-19 so far, even when the Ministry of Health has collected more than 40,000 samples from schools in the state.
Testing at school began in the date they opened on 2.
August in line with the protcol, the Ministry of Education has suspended classes and, in some cases, even schools where positive cases are detected.
Students who come into contact with their infected covid colleagues have been quarantined as well.
“The amount is not large when compared to Mumber Test,” said Nodal Covid-19 officer Dr.
Rajesh Bhaskar.
Parents of government school students are worried, while many students have stopped attending classes in private schools.
The number of students coming to the physical class is said to be “very low”.
