41 Unvaccination between 212 + VE from City in the last 30 days

Nagpur: More than 41 people who are not vaccinated including 12 under the age of 18 are among 212 people tested positive within the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) limit between August 25 and September 24.
Among 121 vaccinated people, 89 had taken both their doses between February and July this year.
The percentage of testing people who are fully vaccinated positively reached around 41% while 57% included those who had stabbed at least once.
With the possible third wave projections regarding the area around September or October, the Civic body has requested its health department to record vaccination history among other details of those who test positive in the city.
The department starts training from August 25 and so on when institutional quarantine norms must be established by NMC.
Of all positive city patients in this range, 56 has a history of travel from Amravati to Dubai.
Lately, many HCW and FLWS, vaccinated in January and February have demanded a dose of booster that captured the lack of sufficient immunity from Covid infection.
Among 12 positive patients under the age of 18, four children belonged to the family.
Although NMC recording detail, the data sheet does not have a format that shows the number of patients who need hospitalization, if they are vaccinated or not, age, gender, travel history, type of vaccine, etc.
The details above must be calculated manually from a 30-day record.
Clinical details about vaccination and not vaccinated are also not available.
Dr.
Nitin Shinde’s infectious disease specialist said the NMC must maintain the right dash of patients who were vaccinated and were not vaccinated to track their disease status.
“Only when we have holistic data, we can prepare before about approaching challenges.
We need to know how patients need hospitalization, oxygen support and advanced care,” he said.
Regarding the patient, Dr.
Shinde only said those who had taken both doses can be said to have immunity.
“At this level, travel history or single dose information is not important.
Through the right tracking, we can provide messages to people about vaccination,” he said.
In children tested positively, pediatric intensive Dr.
Vivek Charde put aside a big threat to those under the age of 18.
“The same family member includes positive children’s testing seen during the second wave too.
Even if they test positively, it won’t be too bad like in adults.
As soon as the vaccine is available, all children must take it,” he said.
