‘42% of POPN who qualified unsure about booster shots’

Mumbai: Three of every 10 people who qualify for caution doses have not so far because they suffer from omicron-covid last month, while 30% said they would take it after the third wave was finished, according to.
National survey.
The remaining 42% is “not sure” or “hesitation” about taking the third or shot, finding a survey between 22,000 people who meet the requirements but have not so far.
In Maharashtra, a hesitant group greater at 45%, with almost 10% clearly stating that they did not want to take a shot because “did not help”.

Sachin Desai was not too worried.
“Not all senior citizens are eligible instantly.
They can get a nine-month shot after their second shot.
And, we note that people take a shot when they qualify,” said Dr.
Desai.
A Dean of a medical college acknowledged that the nine-month gap between two shots had affected the pace of caution.
“Moreover, many of our staff got Covid and couldn’t take booster shots as a result,” said the senior doctor.
The State Immunization Officer, Dr.
Desai said about 15% of eligible people had suffered from Covid in the last five weeks.
“This group must wait a few weeks away but we are sure that they will take a shot because this group consciously,” said Dr.
Desai.
According to a survey conducted by Localcirles, 55% of the 2,000 people interviewed in Maharashtra wanted to take a shot.
Of this number, 34% said they had recently got Omicron-Covid and another 21% said they would wait for the third wave to decline before stepping into taking a cautious shot.
In Maharashtra, 10% believe that caution shots do not help and do not plan to take it.
“About 8% of those surveyed have not taken Covid doses so far,” said Sachin Taparia from Localcircles.
