Coimbatore: a 42-year-old woman and 77-year-old lover was arrested in Tirupur on Thursday because of killing her husband eight months ago and a farmer in 2020.
The Mulanur police identified the defendant as Amsaveni, a wife who was late Ravi, and her lover Muthusamy, a farmer , Good residents of Sulliporukkipalayam.
Police officers said Amsaveni and Ravi worked on Muthusamy’s agricultural land, which had taken the rental farming field from Velusakamy, 47, a farmer from Perumalpalayam Village, three years ago.
“Velusakamy’s wife has moved the land to her daughter last year and asked for Muthusamy not to pay the number of her husband’s rent.
Furthermore, the couple fought each other and separated.
When Velusamy approached Muthusamy for the number of rent, the last refused to pay and kill him with assistance with AMSAVENI , with whom he experienced a dark relationship.
Both of them then burned Velusakamy’s body, “the officer said.
While Velusakamy’s family member did not file a complaint of people who were lost with the police, the officer said Amsaveni had revealed the truth to her husband, who began to extort it, demanding money to buy liquor every day.
He also threatened to reveal the truth to the villagers, if he failed to pay it.
“Unable to bear his torment, Amsaveni and Muthusamy killed Ravi by beating him with wood in agricultural land on January 3 and burned the body,” the officer said.: 00Saveni then filed a complaint to the Mulanur police, who said his husband was missing.
The police registered the case and launched the probe.
“During the investigation, we found out about the murder of Velusamy from the villagers because Ravi told them the same under the influence of alcohol.
We took Amsaveni and Muthusamy to be questioned and they recognized the two crimes,” the officer said.
Both were arrested and returned in court custody on Thursday.
“We take them to the crime scene and restore the remnants of the victims’ frameworks.
Forensic experts have collected the same for the lab test,” the officer said.
