Coimbatore: Saravanampatti police arrested a 42-year-old woman on Wednesday for trying to kill her Septuagenarian mother by strangling pillows.
The woman also attacked her mother with a stone, broken her legs.
The investigative officer identified the defendant as Jothiimani, a resident of Vinayagapuram in Saravanampatti.
“He was separated from his husband Sivakumar a few years ago and lived with his 75-year-old mother.” The officer said Ramathal had recently approached the Revenue Division (RDO) officer and filed a complaint against JothiMani, stating his daughter had taken its properties forcibly and after that he did not take care of him correctly.
“RDO then launched the question into this issue.
Ramathal has a house on proportional to Neehalamur in NeeBur in his name.” Tenageness, JothiMani decided to kill his mother.
“He woke Ramathal on the night of Intervention 12 and 13 November, and tried to kill him with his pillow , Saral and David, saved him from further attacks and rushed to a private hospital, “the officer said.
