Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 4,219 new Koronavirus infections and 55 deaths on Thursday, said the State Health Department.
Need the calculation of infection in the state to 64.87,025 and the death toll becomes 1,38,017, he added.
The total number of cases decreased 15.066 after removing duplication, while the number of people disposed of was also cut 15,793 after reconciliation of numbers, the official release said.
With 2,538 patients were sent back from hospitals during the day, the total recovery rose to 62.95.236.
There were 2,92,510 people in home quarantine, 1,911 in institutional quarantine and 50,229 active patients.
The level of recovery of Maharashtra cases was at 97.04 percent while the mortality rate was 2.12 percent.
The number of Coronavirus tests carried out in the country rose to 5.55.19,679 with 1,80,907 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The Ahmednagar district reported 798 new infections during the day, followed by District Pune with 541 new infections.
Satara reported 15 highs of deaths among the district.
Of the eight areas of Maharashtra, the Pune region reported 1,621 new cases, followed by 995 cases in the Mumbai region.
Nashik region reported 945 new cases, Kolhapur 520, 122, Aurangabad 30, Akola 14 and the Nagpur region reported 12 new cases.
The highest fatality 26 was also reported in the Pune region, followed by 13 deaths in the Kolhapur region.
Among other regions, Mumbai added six deaths, four deaths were recorded in Nashik, five at the latur and one in the Akola area.
The Nagpur and Aurangabad regions reported no death.
The city of Mumbai reported 457 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths, while Pune City reported 233 new cases but no death, according to the number of state governments.
