Coimbatore: There are 15,91,654 women, 15,40,901 male voters and 573 transgenders are spread over 10 assembly constituencies in the district, according to the final reel selection managed by collector g as much as Wednesday.
“In total, there are 31,33,128 voters in this district.
We have added 42,266 new voters during the drive,” said the collector.
All assembly segments in the district, except Coimbatore North, have more women’s voters than men’s voters.
In Coimbatore North, male voters (1,73,556) exceeded the number of female voters (1,71,748).
Kavundamapallayam has the highest number of voters at 4,76,467, followed by Coimbatore North (3,45,345), Kinathukadavu (3.34, 420), Thondamuthur (3.33, 039), Santanallur (3), 21,635), Mettupalayam (3, 01,824), Coimbatore South (2.54,255), Pollachi (2,28,199) and Valparai (2.06,575).
Similarly, Kavundampalayam has the highest number of female voters at 2,39,021, followed by Coimbatore North (1,71,748), Kinathukadavu (1,70,375), Thondaamuthur (1,68,544), Singanral (1, 1,6899), 64,705), Mettupalayam (1,56,037), Coimbatore South (1,27,429), Pollachi (1,19,079) and Valparai (1,07,827) Kavundamapalyam also topped up other constituencies in the number of male voters at 2,37,305, followed by Coimbatore North ( 1,73,556), SantanAllur (1,64,456), thontamuthu (1,64,381), kinathukadavu (1,64,003), tendril (1,56,865), mettupalayam (1,45,739), coimbatore south (1,26,792), pollachi ( 1.09 077) and Valparai (98,727).
