Nashik: A total of 423 out of a total of 455 civil and private schools have been reopened in the city from Monday after the Christmas holiday.
Sunita Dhangar, Education Officer Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), said the presence of school students, which was only 35% at first, has increased to 50%.
In 92 civil schools, the presence of students is around 55%.
Dhangar said the school would continue to remain open, but the school had to be strictly following the government guidelines and behavior in accordance with Covid at school given the increasing cases in the city.
He said most schools have been reopened in the city and only a few English secondary schools that have not been reopened.
But they can also reopen in the next few days.
“We have also sent letters to all civil and private schools in the city, directing them to strictly follow SOPs related to Covid.
Schools that violate the Covid safety protocol will face actions,” Dhangar said.
The school must maintain the appropriate behavior of Covid.
The thermal screening of school students must be carried out regularly and the school must ensure students use masks and maintain social distance.
“Moreover, the school must also ensure students do not come in groups.
Students who suffer from colds and cough should not be allowed to enter school,” he said.
