Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Tourism has provided sanctions RS 42 Crore for the transformation of Chandrabhaga Beach under the planned development plan of the Puri-Konark Marine Drive.
The State Work Department has been assigned as an Implementing Agency while the master plan is prepared by a consultant involved by the Department of Tourism.
The plan has been prepared by considering the occurrence of natural disasters, especially cyclones, along the coast of Odisha.
Official sources say almost 1 KM stretch near Chandrabhaga Beach will be developed with world-class infrastructure to attract tourists from all over the world.
To make sustainable projects and to facilitate the opportunity of livelihoods for local residents, the state government has emphasized the participation of the community .plantans to develop facilities such as water sports and adventure, recreational activities, pedestrian areas, bicycle paths and open entertainment areas for children It has also been proposed.
Landscape development, facilities for solar lighting and solid waste management are also part of the master plan for Chandrabhaga Beach.
Located about 2 km from Konark City, Chandrabhaga attracted thousands of domestic and international tourists every day.
Once developed, it will be the main attraction for the Eco Retreat Glord Festival held for upscale tourists.
The center has also arranged a rolling ball for the development of Lighthouse Tourism at Chandrabhaga Lighthouse, along with four other similar facilities, in public, in public-fashion-partnership modes.
In January last year, Chairman of Minister of Naveen Patnaik has announced the development of Chandrabhaga Beach along with the Talasari-Udaypur beach in the Balalasore district.
