The family decided to donate vital organs after Patel was declared dead brain on Tuesday.

Residents of Bhinar Navsari Village, Patel drove a pillion on a motorcycle with her husband while going to Navsari on Sunday when he fell and suffered a serious head injury.
He shifted to Navsari Hospital and then to the city where he was declared dead brain.
“My family is incompetent to donate anything,” said her husband, Jignesh Patel, a driver at the Navsari Baps temple.
He said that with the inspiration of Mahant Swami, the Head of the Saint of Baps, the family can donate his wife’s organs at least because they believe organ contributions are also similar to worship.
“The heart and a pair of lungs each are transported to Ahmedabad and Mumbai, each by air.
Hearts and kidneys are sent to the IKDRC in Ahmedabad through the donut road,” said Nilesh Mandlewala, founder of life donations that coordinate organ donations.
Lung transplantation was carried out at Masina Hospital, Mumbai, while the heart was transplanted on a 17-year-old girl at the CIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad whose heart’s condition deteriorated after Covid-19 infection.
Patel Cornnas was donated to Lok Drashti Chakshu Bank.
