Thiruvananthapuram: Forty-five Omicron cases are reported in the state on Sunday, taking total calculations of those infected with new variants of Covid-19 to 152.
From them, 32 people come from low-risk countries, nine people.
From high-risk countries and four people were tested positively because of the direct contact they had from travelers.
Among new cases, 16 were in Ernakulam, nine in Thiruvananthapuram, six in Thrissur, five in Pathanamthitta, three each in Alappuzha and Kozhikode, two in Malappuram and one in Wayanad.
The four contact cases have been reported in Alappuzha (3), and Thrissur (1).
Of the total Omicron cases reported so far, 50 people have come to high-risk countries and 84 of low-risk countries.
As many as 18 people have been tested positively from new variants through contact.
2.802 Casing Covid-19 New Meanwhile, the country reported 2,802 covid positive cases of 50,180 samples tested in the last 24 hours on Sundays.
Among new cases, 725 people have not taken a single dose.
However, 1,532 people among new cases have taken both vaccine doses.
With 12 deaths again in the past few days which was recorded because Covid death and 66 deaths were added to the appeal received, the total Covid death in this country has now become 48,113.
At present, the total active case is 19.021, where 10.7% of people are accepted both in hospitals or in other treatment centers.
At the same time, 2,606 patients had recovered from infection.
Among new cases, 2,595 people were infected through local deployment.
Infection contact sources cannot be tracked for 130.
There are 29 health professionals among those infected and 48 people arrive from outside the country.
Thiruvananthapuram with 472 reported the highest number of cases.
There are 1,04,957 people currently observing in various state districts, where 3,275 in isolation in hospitals.
The night curfew ended the night of night which was put in place in the state of remembering the new year celebration, ending on Sunday night.
The government has not made a decision to extend the curfew.
According to government sources, the decision on whether to wear all types of restrictions in the state will be taken at a Covid review meeting which will be held by the Head of Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister this week.
In accordance with the State Ministry of Health, currently the situation in the state is under control and there is no deployment of the new variant community that has been reported.
Positive Covid cases also go down and hence the health department also from the view that no strict limit does not need to be introduced now.
However, the final decision will only be taken at a review meeting organized by the minister’s chairman.
At night hours were introduced to avoid meeting people in public places, clubs, hotels and restaurants for new year celebrations.
