Coimbatore: With 16 more students from private nursing colleges in positive coimbatore testing for Covid -19 on Wednesday, the total number of students tested positively in college has risen to 45.

All students in college are quarantined and stored under observation.
According to public health workers, four students from Kerala returned to K College of Nursing in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore after the college opened back at the beginning of this month.
Dormitory students have a negative Covid -19 certificate when entering Coimbatore.
But they developed symptoms within two days after staying at the hostel.
The four were tested positive for Covid-19 on September 7, 25 other students were tested positively in the next few days.
16 other students were tested positive on Wednesday.
According to Deputy Director of Health Services P Aruna, the college failed to quarantine students who came from Kerala as soon as they came to the hostel.
This has caused a cluster formation.
All students are being quarantined at the Covid Care Center operated on campus.
