New Delhi: Of the 46 Covid-19 patients who died in Delhi between January 5 and January 94 have comorbidities such as cancer and heart disease and liver disease, according to government data.
Only 11 of 46 were vaccinated against Coronavirus.
Twenty-five of these patients aged over 60 and 14 between 41 and 60.
Five deaths were recorded at 21-40 age groups, while one patient each from the age group 0-15 and 16-20 surrendered to infection, data shows .
According to an official, 32 patients were treated on the ICU and most of them had comorbidities such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cancer, liver disease and heart etc.
Twenty-one patients who have other problems tested positive for Covid after being received to the hospital.
Thirty-seven of 46 patients were hospitalized when the oxygen saturation level fell below 94 percent.
On Sunday, Delhi reported 17 deaths because Covid, the highest in a day since June 13 last year.
Capital has recorded 53 Covid deaths so far this month.
A total of 54 deaths from virus diseases were recorded in the last five months – nine in December, seven in November, four in October, five in September and 29 in August.
