Amritsar: A group of 46 Pakistani citizens including 23 children, who should have been repatriated from Amritsar, sent back from the Attari-Wagah border after the Pakistani government denied entering them for incomprehension inappropriate Covid reports.
“We were tested on Monday but the Pakistani government did not approve.
Our test is being done again,” said Vizier, a Pakistani resident.
Speaking to Ani, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Arunpal Singh, the protocol officer at the Attari-Wagah border said, “These people have arrived in India a year ago to visit holy places and stranded in Amritsar because of the covid-induced lock Of course.
” “Previously also around 15-20 days ago these people came to the Attari-Wagah border without the previous permission and sent back,” he added.
“Today, permission is given to them but Pakistani officials return them from the zero line because of the unavailability of the right Covid report.
