47 Oxygen Factory Assigned in Delhi: Data

New Delhi: At least 47 medical oxygen factories with a combined capacity of 57 MT have been assigned to Delhi to improve health service infrastructure to anticipate the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic, according to official data.
The data was distributed during the recent meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority, which designed Covid-19 management policies for capital.
A total of 83 pressure swing oxygen plants (PSA) must be installed with a capacity of more than 100 mt, according to the data.
Of these, 47 medical oxygen factories with a combined capacity of 57 MT has been assigned, he said.
The data distributed during the DDMA meeting held on August 27 showed that 20 more plants would be installed on August 31 with a capacity of 22.58 MT.
And, six oxygen plants must be assigned to September 30, seven more units on October 15 and three additional plants on October 31, according to data.
The Delhi government has recently told the promotion policy of the production of its medical oxygen from Delhi 2021.
The purpose of this policy is to increase oxygen production in Delhi by establishing a new manufacturing company or expanding the production capacity of an unbroken oxygen unit for hospitals or nursing homes during the crisis Health caused by Covid-19 or vice versa.
Health Minister Delhi Satyendar Jain recently said that the Kebrawi government is preparing to fight the future waves of Covid-19 with full commitment, and have a vision to make Mandiri Delhi during the crisis.
He said the policy that was notified by the government “gave several incentives to the private sector to help strengthen the production of oxygen and storage infrastructure”.
According to official data shared during the DDMA meeting, five LMO storage tanks with a combined capacity of 271 MT had been installed in five different locations.
Cryogenic bottling factory with a capacity of 13.4 MT under the installation in Sirsapur is likely to be assigned on September 15, he said.
The national capital has been rolled under the second wave of pandemic which swept the country recently, claiming a large number of lives every day with the problem of lack of oxygen supply in various hospitals adding to misery.
The number of cumulative cases on Wednesday reached 14,38,082.
More than 14.12 lakh patients have recovered from the virus, while the death toll because Covid-19 stood at 25,083 in Delhi.
