478 New Covid-19 Cases, 17 Deaths in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Thursday witnessed a burst in the case and death of new Korenavirus with 478 fresh infections and 17 deaths reported, took the cooperative and the dead to 29,87,313 and 38,054.
The country has reported 282 fresh cases and 13 deaths on Wednesday while on Tuesday it was 277 new cases and seven deaths.

Bengaluru urban recorded a maximum number of new cases and seven deaths, he said.
There was an unexpected increase in fresh infections in several districts such as 53 in Tumakuru, 47 in MySuru, 31 in Dakshina Kannada, 29 in Kodagu and 24 in Hassan.
While 11 districts report zero infection, 11 districts have cases in one digit.
Four deaths were reported by Dakshina Kannada, two of them in Mysuru and Kolar, and each one in Hassan and Ramanagar, said Bulletin.
Bagalkote, Dharwad, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura and Yadgir reported zero infection and zero covid-19 deaths related.
The level of participation for that day was 0.42 percent and the case mortality rate was 3.55 percent.
A total of 1,13,152 samples were tested including 91,136 on Thursday, taking a cumulative number of specimens checked to 5.05 crore.
The number of vaccinations carried out so far in the state rose to 6.47 crores, with 1,76,433 people inoculated today, he said.
