Bhubaneswar: Members of the All Odisha Aided College (Category 488) Teachers and Employee Associations on Sundays urge the state government to provide facilities under the Grant-in-Aid (GIA) system.
They want facilities including pensions, names in the list of cadres, promotions and salaries of the seventh payment commission.
On September 1, 2017, the state government abolished the Grant block system and replaced it with the GIA system.
The Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik has announced that given the 17-day agitation held by the grant teacher who demanded Gia.
The Association of Convener Aditya Prasad Rath told the media that the state government has implemented the GIA system for the 488-university category teacher, but it does not provide facilities received by other regular teachers.

Our names must come to the list of cadres,” he added.
The president who works the Manas Purohit Association says they also want to transfer facilities such as ordinary teachers.
“We serve a college to retire.
The biasity between the old and new gia teacher is not a good thing,” he added.
He said the government did not take proactive steps to resolve this problem for the past three years.
“We asked the government to immediately see this problem.
If the state government does not take the right step as soon as possible, we will strike from November 14.
We will hit the road every Sunday to urge the government to meet our demands,” he added.
Officials Department of Higher Education does not comment on this problem.
