Hyderabad: While almost 18.72 people lakh in India have received a dose of prevention, Telangana has given a dose to 48,340 people in two days.
On Tuesday, a total of 2.50 lakh jab (precautions and regularly) was given in the state.
According to officials, the rate of encouragement for the dose of preventive measures will increase in the coming months because many people will fulfill the nine-month gap criteria with the second dose of vaccines.
In the state, a total of 7.3 lakh frontline workers meet the requirements.
At present, only health workers have completed their nine months gaps.
There are around 3.5 lakh health workers in the state.
About 70 doses of lakh are given to people over the age of 60 (the first and second doses are combined).
Officials have been instructed to increase the speed of drive vaccination with the operating center even late at night.
Because teenage vaccination drives begin on January 3, bad effects after immunization (AEFI) can still be ignored.
According to data obtained by TOI, only 230 cases such were reported, despite the fact that more than 50 lakh doses were given this month.
“Even though parents have initial bookings about vaccinating their children, they are now advancing.
Vaccination is increasing, and we hope to meet the target in a few days,” said the top official.
Officials say that the vaccine stock is quite available with the state to complete the target.
Many elderly more than 60 years also enthusiastically took vaccines.
“I have consulted my doctor who advised me to take a dose of prevention.
I will leave next week because I will complete the nine-month gap between two doses,” Shankar Malladi said, a retired teacher.
