Thane: As many as 49 absent from RS 107 Crore to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in the form of property tax and the Civic body has published notice to them, an official said on Wednesday.
NMMC Mahendra Konda spokesman said the corporation had announced an amnesty scheme for absentism.
However, because some of them are not yet advanced, notifications have been issued for them.
“49 These absent owe Rs 107 Crore to NMMC.
Previously, the corporation had served a notification to 26 other big bowls, taking a count from the default to 75,” he said.
If they fail to pay the delayed amount in the specified period, their properties will be attached and auctioned, he said.
