Vadodara: The forest division and Wildlife Rescue Trust (WRT) on Thursday maintained a five-and-half ft long crocodile out of Waghodia taluka.
Residents of Kumetha village was whining about the reptile which was living in the pond.
According to forest officials, then the crocodile was assaulting stray dogs, cows and goats who entered on the pond.
Locals said that the pond is currently home to three or two crocodiles.
The forest department maintained a cage close to the pond and then pitched the reptile early on Thursday morning.
Efforts are about to save the other two crocodiles too.
