Taipei: Five Chinese Military Aircraft entered the Taiwan Air Defense Identification Zone (Adiz) on Tuesday, marking the ninth intrusion of this month, local media reported.
The Four People Liberation (Plaaf) Air Force Shenyang J-16 Jet Fighter Jet and a Shaanxi Y-8 submarine warfire flew to the southwest corner of Adiz, Taiwan’s news reported quoting the National Defense Ministry (MND).
In response, Taiwan sent an airplane, issued a radio warning, and mobilized the air defense missile system to track the plane.
As many as 35 Chinese aircraft have been seen in the Taiwan identification zone so far this month, including 23 fighter jets and 12 aircraft Spotter, Taiwan news reported.
Beijing claims full sovereignty over Taiwan, democracy from nearly 24 million people is located on the southeast coast of Mainland China, despite the fact that both parties have been ruled separately for more than seven decades.
Taipei, on the other hand, has replied to Chinese aggression by increasing strategic bonds with democracy including the US, which has been repeatedly opposed by Beijing.
China has threatened that “Taiwan’s independence” means war.
