According to sub-district judges, suggestions, Rajesh Meena, deaths were reported from various villages in Block Amnour and makers.
“We have received information about five deaths.
The body of two deceased has been sent for Post Mortem.
Some family members who grieve have blamed death in consumption of liquor,” said DM in Chaura, Regency Headquarters.
He said the raids carried out jointly by the police and the Excise Ministry in two blocks had explored trade of illegal liquor, and vowed firm action against all who were accused.
The incident came less than a week after 11 people died in Nalanda, Minister of Nitish Minister of Kumar Regency, after consuming fake liquor.
Previously, around Deepawali, Hooch had claimed more than 40 years in the West Chamaran District, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur.
