Bakersfield: Deputy Sheriff California was firmally shot this weekend when his SWAT team tried to save people who were held hostage in the San Jaquin valley at home by a man armed with the Senayo Style AK-47, said the authorities Monday.
Four other people were also killed in a shootout.
Three people inside the house – are believed to be the son of armed men and their mothers – were shot fatally during the deadlock Sunday afternoon at Wasco, a small community in the midst of the bakersfield field.
Deputy shot and killed the suspect after he climbed onto the roof of the house with firearms.
Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood identified the Slain representative as Phillip Campas and called him “a star in our organization.” Campas, 35, is a five-year veteran from the Sheriff office and previously served as a sergeant in US Marines in Afghanistan.
He was an instructor at the Academy, as well as members of the SHERIFF SWAT team and honorary guard.
Campas survived his wife and two small children.
“We thought he was here for more than 10 years, he had such an impact,” Youngblood said.
“He is here for five years.” Deputy Dizander Guerrero was injured by shots and two representatives was shocked by broken bullets during violence.
Violence began around 1 P.M., and includes a 911 call that has an open line to the house, said Youngblood.
This activity was heard on the deputy call led to believe at least one person still alive in the house.
“We feel obliged to enter and try and save the victim,” Sheriff said.
Two women and two girls were able to escape from the house safely, said Youngblood.
Their relationship with shooters and other victims is not immediately clear.
The 41-year-old suspect has not been named in public but Youngblood said there was a detention order submitted to Him who forbade him to have firearms in June 3.
Sheriff did not know what drives the resistance order.
Shooting “has implications of what we see in law enforcement when it comes to domestic violence and how serious,” said Youngblood, “and, frankly, how the detention order is not bullet.” The victims in the house – only described as the 17-and 24-year-old mothers and their 42-year-old mothers – also have not been mentioned in public.
The first deputy arrived at home, following several 911 calls, filled with a woman who said there was a shooter in the house and two to three people had been shot.
Within minutes, said Youngblood, The Gunman began shooting at the deputies from inside the house.
The SWAT team, including Campas and Guerrero, approached the front door and encountered a shot from the rifle.
The deputies opened fire on shooters.
Campas and Guerrero were beaten and were drawn to a safe location so they could rush to the hospital.
The two representatives hit by a broken bullet did not leave the deadlock, said Sheriff.
For several hours, the suspect shot out of the house in Deputies.
Around 6:30 a.m., gunman rose to the roof with a gun and a gun.
The deputies shot him, with fatal hit him.
The authorities found three other victims died inside the house.
More than 100 deputies responded to scenes and 23 – several in the SWAT team and other people close to Campas – currently administrative leave because of the shooting.
SWAT team members served and did not respond to calls on Monday when they grieved.
