Lucknow: Five more people died from Coronavirus at Uttar Pradesh on Friday because 61 new cases pushed state infection to declare to 17.08.114, a health bulletin said.
Infection so far claims 22,748 lives in the state.
The new death was reported from Banda (2), Lakhimpur (2) and Barabanki (1).
In the last 24 hours, 61 new cases were reported while 86 people recovered from Covid, said Bulletin.
The number of recovery in the state has reached 16,84,369, he said, adding that the current country has 994 active cases.
The recovery rate is at 98.6 percent.
So far, more than 6.35 crore samples have been tested for Covid-19.
About 4.28 doses of covid crore vaccines have been given in the state, said the bulletin.
