Varanasi: At least five people traveling in a car were killed and someone suffered a serious injury when a truck hit their car near Trilochan Makada bypass in the Jaunpur district of Jaunpur on Tuesday morning.

According to the report, the people who were killed in the accident were identified as Nankau Singh (45), Hausala Prasad (54), Chhotu Singh, Grace Pratap Singh (17) and his sister Prabhu Dev (14), all the residents of Banki’s village were brushed by Sikrara Jaunpur.
Rajbir Singh’s injured person rushed to the nearest hospital, where he was referred to the trauma center of the Hindu University of Banaras.
They returned home after attending a wedding ceremony in the Chandauli District when the accident occurred.
The truck driver escaped from the scene after the accident.
The police reached there after getting information and starting the rescue operation.
SP (City) Sanjay Kumar said that the body was sent for postmortem and family members were told about the incident.
The police tried to find the escape truck driver.
