Erode: Five people, four of them women, were killed and three others were injured after a truck that was destitute with a cement bag collided with Omni van they traveled at Kumaravasal Junction near Parappalaryam here on Thursday afternoon.
Sivagiri police arrested the truck driver.
Police officers said the incident occurred when eight, seven of them Kip and Kin, returned to Muthugoundampalayam at Omni Van after offering prayers at the Dindigul temple in Puni.
