Basti: Five family members were killed and the other two were injured when a car hit a truck here on Thursday, police said.
The incident took around 5:30 a.m.
in Puraina Crossing when the family went to Jharkhand from Lucknow.
The driver loses control over the vehicle and crashes into a container from the back side, they said.
The occupants were trapped in the car after an accident.
While five of them died, two, the driver and a 13 year old girl, was injured, police said.
The deceased was identified by Abdul Aziz (50), his wife Nargis Tabassum (48), Putri Anam (18), Tura (11) and Subra (6), they said.
What was injured, including Abhishek’s driver, was hospitalized, they added.
