Gorakhpur: Five family members died in a road accident in Basti when their car crashed into a container truck on Thursday.
The other two included a girl and the 13-year-old driver were injured in the accident.
The driver is undergoing hospital treatment, police said.
The Chairperson of the Yogi Adityanath Minister expressed sadness over the incident and gave instructions to provide the best care and help injured.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m.
in Puraina crossing near Katya Village in Basti, when the driver lost control and crashed into a container truck from behind.
The car brought 7 of them Abdul Aziz, his wife Nargis Tabassum, Aiman’s daughter, Sidra and Tuba died in place.
The police took their bodies from the vehicle after using a gas cutter, CO Kalwari, said Alok Prasad.
Anam’s 13-year-old girl told the police about the accident.
The driver of the car, Abhishek, is undergoing hospital treatment.
The police sent the body to postmortem.
Abdul Aziz, a property dealer lived in Lucknow from the last 20 years and went to Jharkhand to attend his mother-in-law’s funeral.
