LUCKNOW: In a significant crackdown, Uttar Pradesh Police’s cyber mobile busted a group that had generated a fake site in the title of Ramjanmabhoomi Trust and tricked innocents of all crores.
Ashish Gupta, Naveen Kumar, Sumit Kumar, Amit Jha and Suraj Gupta, all inhabitants of New Delhi, have been detained from GB Nagar.
Authorities also recovered mobile phones, SIM cards and Aadhaar cards .
The FIR was lodged by Anil Kumar Mishraand also a part of Ramjanmabhoomi Trust at Ayodhya on January 30 in Ramjanmabhoomi police channel.
Mishra had alleged a bogus site like the first one was established and it had a QR code for financial contributions.
The code has been enrolled in the title of a single Tejveer Singh.
The case was moved into the cyber mobile of UP Police a month.
SP cyber mobile Triveni Singh told TOI that the group was working from Bihar along with a group is going to be sent shortly to detain its members.
“We worked to the situation utilizing digital proof including information analytics,” said Singh.
The contributions from devotees to get Ram temple were all moving into the account of those accused.
