Hyderabad: Five people, allegedly disguised as income tax officers and took gold and cash from the home of a real estate businessman in Gachibowl here on December 13, arrested and more than 1 kg of stolen gold ornaments restored from them, police said on the day Thursday.
Active search for four people who fled, they said.
Nine, all of them came from Andhra Pradesh, hatched plans to loot money and gold ornaments from the home of the Managing Director of a real estate company in Convance with a collection boy who worked in the real estate company office.
According to their plan, some defendants claimed to be an income tax official and bring a fake ID card, entering the house when the broker was not there and made his wife, children and drivers sitting in the hall and looking for a house, the police, the police were said.
With a locker key, the defendant took around 1,340 grams of gold ornaments and other valuables and Rs 2 lakh and escaped from the place, the release from the Cyberabad police said.
A registered case and during the investigation, the police arrested five gang members on Wednesday near here and during interrogation, they claimed to commit a crime, added the police.
The police recovered 1,276 grams of gold ornaments from them and attempts to capture other absconding charges.
