Daltonganj: Palamu will be among the five first districts in Jharkhand where beneficiaries will be given Zycov-D vaccine against Covid-19.
The vaccine, developed by Zydus Cadilla, is managed using a needle-free applicator.
Dr.
Mrityunjay Singh, who controlled Palamu officers, said: “Besides that Palamu, the Ministry of Health plans to introduce Zycov-D vaccines in Bokaro Regency, Girech, Dhanbad and Ranchi.
A group of coaches are being prepared to train health personnel in this vaccine.” Department State health held a virtual training program for trainers on Thursday.

The Ministry of Health and the welfare of the family union has approved the Zycov-D vaccine for beneficiaries over 18 years.

Russian V Sputnik Vaccine is also managed in the state.
The beneficiaries that will get the first Zycov-D Jab must take the next two shots on the 28th and 56th day.
State immunization officer Dr.
Rakesh Dayal has asked the district hospital to train 30 Anmm (auxiliary nurse midwife) as the main coach for a new vaccine.
